Do you find there are more valleys than peaks in your journey of life?
At these times it is difficult to see the positive and beautiful around you. They are essentially the simple things that surround us every day, like loving relationships, the joy of child, or of a faithful pet. In those moments we must grab on to whatever it is that makes us want go on. It will keep us getting up, dusting ourselves off and moving forward. One of my favorite sayings is, “I’ll lay me down and bleed awhile, and then I’ll fight again,” Those words and that thought has brought me through some tearful, earth shattering moments, and made me want to start living again.
Don’t be afraid to grasp at straws or to the things that seem foreign to you. After you have endured a valley most things will feel that way for a time. If somewhere along the path you can learn to laugh at yourself and the small mishaps, you will be better able to climb up from the valleys. Don’t be afraid of failure. It is the only way you will succeed.
