RECIPES FROM THE PAST: CHERRY CHIFFON

An easy, delicious dessert. Little time or effort needed.

                                           CHERRY CHIFFON

An easy, pleasing dessert using a can of cherry pie filling, and we all know how yummy  that is, no  matter how it is served! Your family or guests will love it! It’s an old ‘stand-by.’ Light and fluffy.

CHERRY CHIFFON

  • 1 Pkg. cherry jello
  • ½ cup boiling water
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 2 egg whites
  • ¼ tsp. cream of tartar
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • One container whipped topping

Pour water over jello in large bowl. Stir. Mix in pie filling, chill until jelly-like.

Beat egg whites with cream of  tartar until foamy. Grad add sugar and beat until stiff. Fold into jello mixt. Chill until firm. Fold in whipped topping .
